Windows Vista: L2TP/IPSec PSK VPN Setup

1. Click Start -> Connect to
2. In the Connect to a network window, click Set up a connection or network
3. In the next window, select Connect to a workplace and click Next
4. In the next window, click on Use my Internet connection (VPN)
5. In the Internet address: field, type your supplied server (for example:1.gfwvpn.com)
6. In the Destination name: field, type gfwvpnl2tp
7. Select "Don't connect now; just set it up so I can connect later"
8. After double checking the fields, click Next
9. In the User name: field, enter your supplied username
10. In the Password: field, enter your supplied password
11. Some users may select Remember this password
12. Click Create button
13. Click the "Close" button to return to the "Network and Internet" screen
14. Click the "Connect to a network" link in the "Network and Sharing Center", and you should see the gfwvpnl2tp connection
15. Right-click on the gfwvpnl2tp connection, and choose Properties from the menu
16. Select Networking tab, and select Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol with IPsec (L2TP/IPSec) in Type of VPN: list
17. Click on IPsec Settings... button
18. select "Use preshared key for authentication", and type gfwvpn into the Key: text box, and click "OK"
19. Click OK button to save the settings, and all the setting is done

Windows 7: L2TP/IPSec PSK VPN Setup

1. Click Start -> Control Panel
2. In the Control Panel, click View network status and tasks under Network and Internet
3. Under Change your networking settings, click Set up a new connection or network
4. In the Set Up a Connection or Network window, select Connect to a workplace and click Next
5. In the Connect to a Workplace window, click on Use my Internet connection (VPN)
6. In the Internet address: field, type your supplied server (for example:1.gfwvpn.com)
7. In the Destination name: field, type gfwvpnl2tp
8. Select "Don't connect now; just set it up so I can connect later"
9. After double checking the fields, click Next
10. In the User name: field, enter your supplied username
11. In the Password: field, enter your supplied password
12. Some users may select Remember this password
13. Click Create
14. Click the "Close" button to return to the "Network and Internet" screen
15. Click the "Connect to a network" link in the "Network and Sharing Center", and you should see the gfwvpnl2tp connection
16. Right-click on the gfwvpnl2tp connection, and choose Properties from the menu
17. Select Networking tab, and select Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol with IPsec (L2TP/IPSec) in Type of VPN: list
18. Click on Advanced setting button
19. select "Use preshared key for authentication", and type gfwvpn into the Key: text box, and click "OK"
20. Click OK button to save the settings, and all the setting is done

Mac OS X 10.4: L2TP/IPSec PSK VPN Setup

1. Go to Applications and open Internet Connect
2. In the Internet Connect application, click File -> New VPN Connection
3. In the next prompt, select L2TP over IPSec and click Continue
4. In the VPN (L2TP) window, Click the Configuration: 'Other' popup menu, then select 'Edit Configurations…'
5. In the Description: field, enter gfwvpnl2tp
6. In the Server address: field, enter your supplied server (for example:1.gfwvpn.com)
7. In the Account Name: field, enter your supplied username
8. In the Password: field, enter your supplied password
9. In the Shared Secret: field, enter gfwvpn
10. Click Ok
11. Some users may select Show VPN status in menu bar
12. Click Connect

Mac OS X 10.5+: L2TP/IPSec PSK VPN Setup

1. Click the Apple Menu in the upper left corner
2. Click on System Preferences
3. In the System Preferences window, click Network
4. In the Network window, click the Lock and enter your password.
5. Click + to add a new connection.
6. In the following prompt, for Interface: select VPN
7. In the VPN Type:, select L2TP over IPSec
8. In the Service Name: field, enter gfwvpnl2tp
9. Click Create
10. In the Server Address: field, enter your supplied server (for example:1.gfwvpn.com)
11. In the Account Name: field, enter your supplied username
12. Click Authentication Settings
13. In the Password: field, enter your supplied password
14. In the Shared Secret: field, enter gfwvpn
15. Click Ok
16. Click the Advanced button
17. Make sure to select Send all traffic over VPN connection
18. Click Connect

iPhone / iTouch / iPad: L2TP/IPSec PSK VPN Setup

1. Open the Settings application
2. Click on General
3. Click on Network
4. Click on VPN
5. Click on Add VPN Configuration
6. Select L2TP
7. In the Description field, enter gfwvpnl2tp
8. In the Server field, enter your supplied server (for example:1.gfwvpn.com)
9. In the Account field, enter your supplied username
10. In the Password field, enter your supplied password
11. In the Secret field, enter gfwvpn
12. Ensure that Send All Traffic is set to ON
13. Click Save

1. Press the Home button
2. Open the Settings application
3. Click on VPN
4. Click on gfwvpnl2tp
5. Set VPN to ON

Android: L2TP/IPSec PSK VPN Setup

1. Open Settings and click on Wireless Controls
2. Click on VPN Settings
3. Click on Add VPN
4. Choose L2TP/IPSec PSK VPN
5. In the VPN Name field, enter gfwvpnl2tp
6. In the Set VPN Server field, enter your supplied server (for example:1.gfwvpn.com)
7. Set IPSec pre-shared key to gfwvpn
8. Do not enable L2TP secret.
9. Click Save
10. Open Settings and click on Wireless Controls
11. Click on gfwvpnl2tp
12. In the Username: field, enter your supplied username
13. In the Password: field, enter your supplied password
14. Some users may select Remember username
15. Click Connect
